No Wireless on Macbook running Linux

Macbooks have been using broadcom chipsets for years, but there’s limited linux support out of the box. Thankfully, there’s an easy way to install the driver.

You will need an internet connection (Ethernet / tethered phone / USB wifi dongle).

On an ubuntu based distribution:

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install firmware-b43-installer

Then reboot.
